Hi, I'm Akimu

Webisa Akimu’s family is in difficult circumstance. His mother left the family in the middle of 2020 and has had no contact since then. The kid and the father moved to Bumboi, Masiiwe Village  province with their grandmother. Akimu’s father was a mason and the sole provider in family until he passed away in May 2023. The man was too distressed of his wife’s leaving. Akimu is living with his grandmother. The grandmother is 65 years old, has weak legs due to an accident and an operation on her legs five years ago. She sells vegetables to provide for the kid but she cannot walk far to sell more. Her daily wage is about 2 USD. It is not enough to cover both meals of the child and school fees, not to mention rent and other basic needs. Hence, local authority referred the case to CLF Uganda to help improve the grandmother’s income.
